Eagles Battle to Draw With Paul Quinn

WALNUT RIDGE, Ark. (9/30/25) – The Williams Baptist University men's soccer team wrapped up its non-conference slate in a 1-1 draw with Paul Quinn on Saturday in Dallas, Tex.

As a team, WBU out-shot PQC 8-3, and landed six shots on goal.  Marco Cisneros made one save in 90 minutes of work between the posts.

Paul Quinn scored the first goal of the game in the 16th minute to go up 1-0.  Williams answered just 30 seconds later with an unassisted goal from Carlos Aedo.

Neither team could find the go-ahead goal through the rest of the match as the contest ended in a 1-1 tie.

The result moves Williams to 2-6-2 overall on the season.  The Eagles will open up American Midwest Conference play on Saturday, Oct. 11 on the road against Hannibal-LaGrange.  Kick-off is set for 3 p.m. from Hannibal, Mo.
