Farias Named AMC Offensive Player of the Week

WALNUT RIDGE, Ark.  (8/25/25) – Williams Baptist University senior Matheus Farias was named American Midwest Conference Offensive Player of the Week for the first week of the season, the league announced on Monday.

Farias assisted two goals and added a score of his own in WBU's season-opening 3-1 victory over (RV) Louisiana Christian on Saturday.

The Curitaba, Brazil native leads the AMC in assists, points, and is tied for the league-lead in goals after week one.

Farias and the Eagles return to the pitch on Thursday, Aug. 28 to face No. 8 MidAmerica Nazarene in Olathe, Kan.  Kick-off is set for 1 p.m. from Pioneer Field.
