The Lady Eagles seemed to be taking control of the game in the first half, with constant possession of the ball. They finally got their reward when Ramone Tretin was able to sneak it past the Hornets' keeper on a free kick in the 34th minute.
This control of the game continued into the second half, until the 69th minute when the Lady Eagles had a bad defensive giveaway that the Hornets were able to turn into the equalizing goal. From there, it was all Hornets, and the Lady Eagles couldn't find much of any kind of offense.
Paige Carlyle made two saves in the game, including on a penalty kick.
