WALNUT RIDGE, Ark. (9/24/25) – The Williams Baptist University men's soccer team fell to Freed-Hardeman on Wednesday afternoon by the final score of 3-0 at Joe Mack Campbell Park in Jonesboro, Ark.
The match was moved to Joe Mack Campbell Park in Jonesboro due to weather concerns.
As a team, WBU out-shot FHU 18-6 and landed six of those shots on goal, but were unable to break through for a score.
The first period was a defensive battle, with both teams only tallying a combined three shots on goal. FHU found its first score just before the halftime whistle in the 44th minute to go up 1-0.
The Lions added on with two more scores in the second half to take the 3-0 win. WBU threatened in the second half with shots on goal from Randolph Quinoz, Ricardo Da Silva, and Bruno Silveira, but were unable to capitalize.
The loss drops WBU to 2-6-1 on the season. The Eagles will return to the pitch to wrap up non-conference play on the road against Paul Quinn on Saturday, Sep. 27. Kick-off is set for 11 a.m. from Dallas, Tex.
