Eagles Finish Second at AMC Championship
WALNUT RIDGE, Ark. (4/21/26) – The Williams Baptist University men's golf team concluded its season with a second place finish at the American Midwest Conference Men's Golf Championship at Cooper's Hawk Golf Club on Tuesday.
The Eagles finished with a three-round total of 914 (305-308-301), just three strokes behind the tournament champion Columbia.
Grant Wilson led the Eagles in a tie for fourth place with a three-round score of 228 (75-76-77). He's the first top-five finisher for the Eagles since Chance Matthews won the individual title in 2022.
Kaleb McClain followed up in a tie for sixth place with a 54-hole score of 229 (77-78-74), and Jack Pierce rounded out the top ten with a three-round score of 232 (75-84-73).
Ian Ellison finished tied for 13th with a final tally of 233 (78-78-77), and Curren Bounds rounded out the squad in 15th place with a score of 234 (79-76-79).
The AMC also announced its end of year awards following the tournament:
Jack Pierce was named to the AMC All-Conference First Team and Curren Bounds and Kaleb McClain were named to the AMC All-Conference Second Team.
Dylan Richards was named to the AMC Academic All-Conference team, and Ian Ellison was named as WBU's representative to the AMC Champions of Character Team.
