Wesson, Quinton Earn AMC All-Tournament Honor

WALNUT RIDGE, Ark. (3/5/26) – Williams Baptist University men's basketball standouts Deion Wesson and Rico Quinton were both named to the American Midwest Conference All-Tournament Team, the league announced on Thursday morning.

Wesson and Quinton led WBU through to its second AMC Championship appearance in school history, and first since 2018.

Wesson averaged 15.3 points during the Eagles' run to the championship game.  He led the way with 19 points against Mission in the quarterfinals, and posted 18 against Columbia in the championship.  

Quinton averaged 14.0 points per game throughout the event.  He put up 17 points in 24 minutes against Mission, 12 against Hannibal-LaGrange in the semifinal, and 14 in the final against Columbia.  He shot at a 70.8 percent clip from the field, and knocked down two of three attempts from three-point range.

The Eagles set a new record for wins in a season with 22 on the year, the most since 1987-88.
