Luckey Earns Back-to-Back AMC Defensive Player of the Week Awards

WALNUT RIDGE, Ark. (1/12/26) – Williams Baptist University men's basketball junior Aseem Luckey was named the American Midwest Conference Defensive Player of the Week for the second week in a row, the league office announced on Monday.

Luckey posted back-to-back double-doubles in a 2-0 week for the Eagles with wins over Crowley's Ridge and UHSP.  The Philadelphia, Pa. native dropped 18 points and 10 rebounds in a 107-71 thumping of Crowley's Ridge on Tuesday, then posted 25 points and 18 rebounds against UHSP on Saturday.

Luckey's 18 rebound game on Saturday tied for the third-most rebounds collected in a game in program history at WBU.

Luckey also won AMC Defensive Player of the Week last week following a double-double performance against Rust.

The Eagles are riding a five-game win streak and carry a 6-0 mark at home this season.  Next, WBU will kick-off a three-game roadstand at Harris-Stowe on Thursday, Jan. 15.  Tipoff against the Hornets is set for 7:30 p.m. in St. Louis, Mo.
