Washington Named AMC Offensive Player of the Week for Third Consecutive Week

WALNUT RIDGE, Ark. (12/1/25) – Williams Baptist University men's basketball senior Jesse Washington was tabbed the American Midwest Conference Offensive Player of the Week for the third week in a row, the league office announced on Monday afternoon.

Washington led the Eagles to another undefeated week with his fourth and fifth consecutive double-doubles against Hendrix and Rust.

On Tuesday against Hendrix, the Jonesboro, Ark. native posted 14 points and 15 rebounds in a 88-63 win, then scored 25 points and brought down 11 rebounds in a 89-60 home win over Rust on Saturday.

Washington currently ranks fourth in the NAIA in scoring average at 27.6 points per game, and ninth in rebounds per game with 11.1.  He is the first player to earn AMC Offensive Player of the Week in three consecutive weeks since the award was established in 2024.

WBU is off to its best start in modern program history at 7-0.  The Eagles return to the court to begin AMC play on Wednesday, Dec. 3 at Columbia.  Tipoff is set for 7:30 p.m. from the Arena of Southwell Complex in Columbia, Mo.
