Washington Named AMC Offensive Player of the Week

WALNUT RIDGE, Ark. (11/17/25) – Williams Baptist University men's basketball senior Jesse Washington was named the American Midwest Conference Offensive Player of the Week after his performance in week three of the season, the league announced Monday afternoon.

Washington posted a double-double with a career-high 36 points combined with 15 rebounds to earn the honor.  The Jonesboro, Ark. native buried seven three-pointers to lead Williams to a 89-59 road victory over Pensacola Christian on Friday.

Through three games, Washington ranks third in the AMC in scoring average at 26.7 points per game, and second in rebounds per game at 9.7.

With Washington's help, WBU is off to a 3-0 start to the 2025-26 season.  

Williams will look to extend its season-opening streak as the Eagles return home to host Principia on Wednesday, Nov. 19.  Tipoff is set for 5:30 p.m. inside the Southerland-Mabee Center on the campus of Williams Baptist University.
