BATESVILLE, Ark. - The Williams men's basketball team fell on the road at Lyon College, 80-77, on Tuesday night.
The Eagles found themselves down 41-35 at the half and trailed for a good chunk of the second half. They found themselves trailing 69-60 with 7:45 remaining in the game and then went on a 12-3 run to tie the game at 72 with 4:43 left. They battled with the Scots in the dying minutes of the game, but ultimately couldn't pull out the win over the home team.
Williams shot 45.6% from the field (31-68), 31.6% from the three-point line (6-19), and 56.3% from the free-throw line (9-16).
TJ Clardy led the team with a double-double of 23 points and 12 rebounds. Isaiah Thompson finished with 18 points, DJ Townsend had 13, and Ben Keton had 10.
