ST. LOUIS, Mo. - The Williams men's basketball team grinded out a 78-72 win over the Harris-Stowe State Hornets on Thursday night.
The Eagles and Hornets went into halftime tied at 42 and battled it out in the second half, but the Eagles built up an eight point lead with 8:17 left and the Hornets never could get the lead back.
Williams shot 49.2% from the field (29-59), 39.1% from the three-point line (9-23), and 61.1% from the free-throw line (11-18).
TJ Clardy finished with a double-double of 12 points and 10 rebounds.
Duke Hardin led the team with 21 points. Jayvon Clark finished with 14 and Isaiah Thompson had 11.
