WALNUT RIDGE, Ark. - The Williams men's basketball team defeated the Arkansas Baptist Buffaloes 87-77 on Saturday afternoon in the SMC.
The Eagles came out strong in the first half, outscoring the Buffaloes 43-34. They held off a strong push by the Buffaloes in the second half, but Arkansas Baptist could never get any closer than seven points.
Williams shot 47.5% from the field (29-61), 40% from the three-point line (12-30), and 63% from the free-throw line (17-27).
Duke Hardin led the team with 25 points. TJ Clardy finished with 20 points, DJ Townsend had 14, and Ben Keton had 11.
Clardy and Isaiah Thompson led the team on the boards with nine each.
