FULTON, Mo. - The Eagles had a big second half and held on to defeat the William Woods Owls 70-67 on Thursday night.
Williams didn't have a strong start to the game, as they were outscored 45-34 by the Owls in the first half. The Eagles worked hard in the second half and tied the game at 54 with 8:43 left in the game. Then they went on a 10-4 run and held on to the lead for the rest of the game.
Duke Hardin led the team with 14 points. Also in double figures for the Eagles was Austin Cluck with 11 and Isaiah Thompson with 10.
EJ Johnson led the team on the boards with seven.
