WALNUT RIDGE, Ark. - The Williams men's basketball team defeated the Lyon College Scots 75-63 on Tuesday night.
The Eagles started out hot and led 23-10 early in the first half. They kept their foot on the gas and kept the Scots from making any big runs to really cut the lead. The Eagles outscored the Scots 39-28 in the first half and held on to that lead in the second.
Williams shot 44.9% from the field (31-69), 29% from the three-point line (5-17), and 72% from the free-throw line (8-11).
Duke Hardin led the Eagles with 16 points. Isaiah Thompson finished with 15, and DJ Townsend had 12.
TJ Clardy led the team on the board with 9.
