Eagles Drop Series Finale to Mission

OZARKS, Mo. (4/18/26) – The Williams Baptist University baseball team couldn't overcome an early deficit on Saturday afternoon, falling 14-4 to Mission University in the series finale at Ozark Mountain Sports Complex.

The Patriots came out swinging with an eight-run surge over the first three innings to seize control early.

The Eagles broke through in the top of the third when Cade Parks brought Luke Bullins across the plate to get Williams on the board.

WBU added another run later in the inning on an RBI double from Connor Brinkley to cut into the deficit at 8-2.

Mission extended its lead to 12-2 heading into the late innings.

In the top of the seventh, Will Riley hit a sacrifice fly to center field to score Brinkley, and Parks came through again with a double to center, plating Bullins and putting the score to 12-4.

The Patriots answered with two more runs securing the 14-4 victory.

On the mound, Blaine Sullinger worked 0.2 innings, allowing four hits and four runs. Brady Swims followed with 1.0 inning of work, surrendering one hit and four runs. Kaden Martin tossed 2.0 innings, striking out one while giving up three hits and four runs. Brock McNeill provided 2.1 innings of relief, allowing one hit and two runs, and Coleton Payton gave up one hit.

The Eagles close the regular season with a 28-17 overall record and a 13-7 mark in conference play. Williams turns its focus to postseason baseball, awaiting seeding and its opponent for the AMC Championship, set for April 27–30 at the Ozark Mountain Sports Complex in Springfield, Mo.
