Eagles Drop Friday Night Contest With UHSP
ST. LOUIS (9/26/25) – The Williams Baptist University volleyball team fell to University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy by the final score of 3-0 (25-14, 25-6, 25-17) inside the UHSP Gymnasium on Friday night.
Tinleigh Ruhman led the team with five kills on the night with a .417 hit percentage. Hope Raymond held steady on the back row with 12 digs, and Amber Kahler posted eight assists.
As a team, the Lady Eagles put up 13 kills, 10 assists, and 34 digs in the contest.
UHSP began the match by taking five of the first six points. A Hope Raymond ace got the Eagles back within one, but the Eutectics answered by firing off a 15-2 run to take the set.
Pharmacy stayed hot in the second set by taking the final 15 points in a row to take a 2-0 set lead in the match.
Williams fought back in the third set as both teams traded points throughout. An ace from Raymond and a kill from Bond put WBU up 17-15 late, but the Eutectics stormed back to take the final 10 points in a row, the set, and the match.
The loss drops Williams to 1-14 overall and 0-6 in AMC play. The Lady Eagles will return to the court on Saturday, Sep. 27 at 11 a.m. to face Harris-Stowe in another AMC matchup.
