Coleman, Jonker Earn Postseason Awards at AMC Outdoor Championships

EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. (5/2/25) – Tucker Coleman and Aletta Jonker each took home hardware as the Williams Baptist University men's and women's outdoor track & field teams concluded its season at the 2025 American Midwest Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships this week.

Tucker Coleman medaled in three different events in the meet as he captured a second place finish in the discus throw and two third place finishes in shot put and hammer throw.

EJ Johnson took home a gold medal in the high jump at a mark of 1.87m.

Jonker finished fourth in the 400m race and finished seventh of 18 in the 800m.  Alyssa Russell also posted a strong performance for the Lady Eagles with a bronze medal in the 400m hurdles.

Kaylee Isaacs won the gold in the high jump for the fourth consecutive year at a mark of 1.55m, while Calista Christian earned gold in the hammer throw at 46.09m.  Kiasia Burns also took the silver medal in the long jump with a school record mark of 5.06m.

After the meet, Coleman was named Outstanding Field Athlete and Athlete of the Meet for his performances, while Aletta Jonker was named the American Midwest Conference Newcomer of the Year.

As a unit, the men's team finished fifth of eight schools with 46 points.  The women's team finished seventh with 47 points.  Columbia earned the team title in both divisions.
