Alvarado Tabbed NAIA Third Team All-American
WALNUT RIDGE, Ark. (12/16/25) – Williams Baptist University women's soccer junior Yajaira Alvarado has been named an NAIA Third Team All-American, the NAIA national office announced Tuesday morning.
Alvarado led the Lady Eagles to a program-record 12 victories with a program-record 27-goal season. The Jonesboro, Ark. native led the American Midwest Conference in goals, points, and game-winning goals.
"Yajaira had one of the best seasons I have ever seen as a coach," said Lady Eagles head coach Daniel Carney. "Not only did she strive for individual excellence, but she also made her teammates around her better, and really elevated the program as a whole. I am extremely proud of all of her accomplishments this season."
Alvarado is the first All-American in program history for WBU. She was also named AMC Player of the Year, AMC Newcomer of the Year, and AMC First Team All-Conference.
