Alvarado Snags AMC Offensive Player of the Week Honor

WALNUT RIDGE, Ark. (11/3/25) – Williams Baptist University women's soccer junior Yajaira Alvarado was named the American Midwest Conference Offensive Player of the Week for the final week of the regular season, the league office announced on Monday afternoon.

Alvarado scored four goals and assisted two more in a 1-1 final week for the Lady Eagles.  She tied for the team lead in scores in a 12-0 win against Central Baptist with three, then scored one more in a 4-2 loss to UHSP on Saturday.

The Jonesboro, Ark. native ends her regular season tied for the second most goals in the NAIA at 26.  She holds the WBU single-season and career records in scoring.

This is the fourth time this season Alvarado has earned the award, the most of any offensive player in the AMC this season.

Alvarado and the Lady Eagles earned the No. 2 seed and a bye to the semifinal round of the AMC Tournament.  Williams will host the winner of No. 3 Harris-Stowe and No. 6 Hannibal-LaGrange on Friday, Nov. 7 at the WBU Soccer Field.  Kick-off time is currently to be determined.
