COLUMBIA, Mo. (10/25/25) – The Williams Baptist University women's soccer team saw its program-high winning streak snapped at five games after a 6-0 loss to Columbia at R. Marvin Owen Field on Saturday afternoon.

As a team, WBU was out-shot 17-3 in the contest.  Lucia Alvarez and Yajaira Alvarado put up the Lady Eagles only shots on goal in the contest, each with one.

Columbia scored the first goal of the game in the 12th minute, then again in the 18th.  The Cougars scored again in the 36th to take a 3-0 lead into halftime.

CC netted three more goals in the second half to hand WBU its first conference loss of the season.

The Lady Eagles drop to 11-3-0 overall and 3-1 in American Midwest Conference play on the season.  Williams will return home to host Central Baptist on Wednesday, Oct. 29.  Kick-off against the Mustangs is set for 1 p.m. from the WBU Soccer Field.
