Alvarado Tabbed AMC Offensive Player of the Week
WALNUT RIDGE, Ark. (9/22/25) – Williams Baptist University sophomore Yajaira Alvarado has been named American Midwest Conference Offensive Player of the Week for the third time this season, the league announced Monday afternoon.
Alvarado posted a hat trick against Bethel (TN) in a 3-1 victory for the Eagles on Saturday afternoon to earn the award.
The three goals put her season total at 14, tying the WBU single-season record and putting her at the top of the NAIA in goals scored.
This marks the fourth time this season an Eagle has won the offensive award. Alvarado won it in weeks one and two, and Mackenzie Souers took the honor in week four.
Alvarado and the Lady Eagles will return to the pitch on Wednesday, Sep. 24 against Freed-Hardeman. Kick-off is set for 1 p.m. from Joe Mack Campbell Park in Jonesboro, Ark.
