Lady Eagles Voted Third in AMC Preseason Poll
WALNUT RIDGE, Ark. (8/19/25) – The Williams Baptist University women's soccer team was picked to finish third in the American Midwest Conference women's soccer preseason coaches poll, the league revealed Tuesday afternoon.
Williams received 28 points in the poll to finish third. Harris-Stowe was picked second with 37 points and Columbia was picked to win the conference with 42 points. The Cougars secured all six first place votes.
Third year head coach Daniel Carney brings back key pieces from the 2024 squad in Lisa Craig and Fabianna Quiros, as well as strong newcomers in Yajaira Alvarado, Megan Sharp, and Maddy Westbrook.
WBU will begin its 2025 season on Saturday, Aug. 23 on the road against Evangel. Kick-off is slated for 6 p.m. in Springfield, Mo.
