The Lady Eagles were on the defensive most of the first half, but were still able to create a few chances on the offensive side. The same trend continued in the second half, until the Lady Eagles made a bad defensive mistake in the 64th minute when Andrea Soto Madrid played the ball back to the keeper, Paige Carlyle, without looking up to see that her keeper was on the opposite side of the box from where she kicked it. Carlyle tried to stop it from going in the goal, but she was unsuccessful. Then three minutes later, the Lady Eagles tackled a MBU player inside the box, and a penalty kick was awarded and converted to give the Spartans a 2-0 lead. They added one final goal to their tally in the 73rd minute.
In the end, the Lady Eagles had nine shots and three on goal.
Carlyle made three saves in the net for Williams.
