Bonilla Captures Gold at Fremont Hills Classic
NIXA, Mo. (4/14/26) – Mariana Bonilla took her first individual tournament win to lead the Williams Baptist University women's golf team to a second place finish at the Fremont Hills Classic hosted by Evangel this week.
As a team, WBU posted a two-round total of 683 (330-343) to finish second out of five teams. The Lady Eagles finished 11 strokes behind tournament champion Kansas Wesleyan.
Bonilla took the first win of her career behind a two-round total of 160 (82-78). Kendra Harness followed up in third place with a score of 162 (83-79).
Grace Woody finished in a tie for 13th place on a two-round card of 177 (87-90), and Katie Fish followed in 18th place with a score of 184 (88-96). Gabi Harmon rounded out the team's scoring with a two-round total of 208 (111-97).
Gracielee Edwards finished in 29th place competing as an individual with a two-round score of 221 (108-113).
Next, the Lady Eagles will compete at the American Midwest Conference Women's Golf Championships at Cooper's Hawk Golf Club in Melbourne, Ark. on April 27-28.
