WBU Golf Open Season with WBU Fall Invite
Tyler Parr and Kendra Harness each brought home runner-up finishes as the Williams Baptist University men's and women's golf teams kicked off the 2022-23 season with the WBU Fall Invite played at the Kennett Country Club in Kennett, Mo.
Parr helped the Eagles to a third-place finish by firing a two-day of 602, which included a final round of 4-under-par 68. He was edged out for medalist honors by Central Baptist College's Jakup Slapal who turned in a tournament low of 140 to help led the Mustangs to the men's title.
CBC had two-day total of 584 to finish 16 shots ahead of Missouri Baptist who turned in a score of 600. Williams was third with a team score of 602, while Lyon College "A" was fourth at 605. Crowley's Ridge College turned in a 637 to take fifth and Lyon College "B' rounded out the team scoring with a 679.
Other scores for WBU included Thibau DeLange with a 148, Dawson McMahan at 154, Quinn Crosskno at 158 and Carrington Reed 159. Kaleb McClain, who played as an individual, carded a 163.
In the women's tournament, CBC captured the team title with a two-day score of 687, while Lyon finished second with a total of 796. Lyon Sydney Czanstkowski won the individual title with two-round total of 155, while Harness was four strokes behind at 159.
Leslie Hill carded a two-day score of 175, while Grace Woody had a score of 186.
