Taylor Earns WBCA All-American Honorable Mention
WALNUT RIDGE, Ark. (3/25/25) – Williams Baptist University women's basketball senior Carmen Taylor was named an Honorable Mention All-American by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association, the organization announced on Monday.
Taylor led the American Midwest Conference in scoring average in 2024-25, putting up 20.2 points per game. The AMC Player of the Year became the first Lady Eagle to cross the 1,000 point milestone in only two seasons at WBU.
Taylor also led the way defensively for a strong Lady Eagles squad. The Memphis, Tenn. native led the AMC in steals this season with 95, and was named to the league's All-Defensive Team.
In addition, WBU head coach John Mayberry was named as one of six finalists for the WBCA NAIA Coach of the Year award. Mayberry led Williams to a program record 28 wins, its first American Midwest Conference championship in program history, and second consecutive NAIA Tournament berth.
