Taylor Named AMC Offensive Player of the Week
WALNUT RIDGE, Ark. (2/24/25) – Williams Baptist University senior Carmen Taylor earned American Midwest Conference Offensive Player of the Week honors in the final week of the regular season for her performances against Hannibal-LaGrange and Cottey.
Taylor scored a total of 59 points across two big wins for WBU as the Lady Eagles extended their winning streak to 20 to close out the regular season.
Against HLGU, Taylor finished with 37 points, only three off from the WBU single-game points record.
The Memphis, Tenn. native currently leads the American Midwest Conference in scoring average with an average of 19.9 points per game this season.
This marks the second time this season Taylor has earned the AMC Offensive Player of the Week honor.
Williams will kick off the postseason in the first round of the American Midwest Conference Tournament on Friday, Feb. 28 against Central Baptist. Tip-off for the Lady Eagles' first round matchup is set for 5:15 p.m. from inside the Southerland-Mabee Center.
