Taylor Named AMC Offensive Player of the Week

WALNUT RIDGE, Ark. (1/20/25) – Williams Baptist University senior Carmen Taylor claimed the American Midwest Conference Offensive Player of the Week award for her efforts in a three-win week for the Lady Eagles.

Taylor scored a total of 67 points on 41.4 percent shooting from the floor, highlighted by a season-high 36-point performance in a 98-59 win against Central Baptist.

The Memphis, Tenn. native also dropped 24 against Cottey on Saturday alongside seven assists in the contest.

With Taylor's help, WBU extended its win streak to nine straight games.  The Lady Eagles currently sit at second place in the American Midwest Conference standings.

Williams returns to the floor on Thursday, Jan. 23 on the road against Harris-Stowe.  Tip-off against the Hornets is set for 5:30 p.m. from St. Louis, Mo.
