Busselle Named AMC Player of the Week
WALNUT RIDGE, Ark. (4/13/26) – Williams Baptist University softball senior Madyson Busselle earned American Midwest Conference Player of the Week after leading the Lady Eagles to an undefeated week on offense, the league announced on Monday afternoon.
Overall, Busselle went 12-for-20 with seven doubles, a home run, and 14 RBI at the plate. The Bald Knob, Ark. native tied the WBU record for doubles in a game with three in the second game against UHSP on Saturday, while driving in four RBI.
The Lady Eagles went 6-0 last week, with two wins each over Freed-Hardeman, Harris-Stowe, and UHSP. Williams has won eight in a row, and sits in first place in the American Midwest Conference standings with eight league games to go.
Busselle and the Lady Eagles will return to the diamond on Friday, April 17 on the road against Hannibal-LaGrange. First pitch of game one of the doubleheader is set for 2 p.m. from Hannibal, Mo.
