Caldwell Earns AMC Pitcher of the Week Honors

WALNUT RIDGE, Ark. (2/9/26) – Williams Baptist University softball pitcher Emberlin Caldwell earned American Midwest Conference Pitcher of the Week honors for her efforts in the circle in WBU's opening weekend, the league announced on Monday afternoon.

Caldwell made three appearances in the first weekend for WBU, notching two wins. 

The Van Buren, Ark. native opened her 2026 campaign with a complete game shutout against Hendrix on Friday with nine strikeouts and only two hits allowed.

She followed up with a win in a relief appearance against Henderson State, holding the Reddies scoreless in 2.2 innings to give WBU an opportunity for a walk-off win in eight innings.

The Lady Eagles began the 2026 season 3-1 after a sweep of Hendrix and a split with Henderson State.

Caldwell and WBU will return to the diamond on Tuesday, Feb. 10 to face Blue Mountain Christian in a doubleheader.  First pitch of game one is set for 2 p.m. from Blue Mountain, Miss.
