PARAGOULD, Ark. - The Williams Baptist Lady Eagles dropped a doubleheader at the Crowley's Ridge Pioneers on Monday afternoon, losing game one 2-1 and game two 3-2.
Game One
The lone Lady Eagles run came from the bat of Maggie Crossno (SR/Senath, Mo.) as she hit a solo shot over the center field wall in the top of the seventh to tie the game at one. However, the Lady Pioneers would hit a walk off single to win the game.
Crossno went 2-3 to lead the team.
Tess Temple (SR/Heber Springs, Ark.) pitched 6.2 innings and gave up two runs off nine hits, walked two and struck out six.
Game Two
Shelby Jones (SO/Ravenna, Texas) hit an RBI single in the fourth to tie the game at one. The Lady Eagles would take a 2-1 lead in the sixth off Megan Weis (FR/Republic, Mo.)' RBI single, but the Lady Pioneers would tie it right back up in the home half of the sixth. They would then walk it off in the bottom of the seventh to win.
Jones went 4-4 to lead the team.
Angel Gillette (SO/Spring, Texas) pitched 6.1 innings and gave up three runs off ten hits, walked four and struck out one.

The Lady Eagles travel to Harris-Stowe on Friday, April 16 for a doubleheader and then over to UHSP on Saturday.
