Eagles Conclude Season at AMC Championships
WALNUT RIDGE, Ark. (11/6/25) – The Williams Baptist University men's cross country team concluded its 2025 season at the American Midwest Conference Cross Country Championships at Whitmore Park in St. Louis, Mo. on Thursday afternoon.
After the meet, the league announced its 2025 postseason awards. Gabriel Jones was named as WBU's representative for the AMC Champions of Character Team, recognizing student-athletes who best represent the NAIA's Five Core Values of integrity, respect, responsibility, sportsmanship, and servant leadership.
As a unit, WBU finished fifth in the event with a total team score of 101. Columbia captured the league crown, with UHSP as runner-up.
Gabriel Jones paced the squad with a 21st place finish on a time of 32:37 in the 8k race. Brady Barr finished right behind in 23rd with a time of 34:01.
Dauren Zhenbaev finished in 30th place with a time of 38:50, Cody Carden finished behind him in 32nd with a time of 40:11, and Dylan Richardson finished in 35th place with a time of 43:52.
Esteban Gonzalez finished 38th with a 46:03 mark, and Ben Hackler rounded out the squad in 39th place with a time of 49:01.
