McClain Leads Eagles at CBC Spring Invitational
WALNUT RIDGE, Ark. (3/19/26) – The Williams Baptist University men's golf team finished fourth out of 13 teams at the Central Baptist Spring Invitational at Cypress Creek Golf Club in Cabot, Ark. earlier this week.
As a team, WBU went 315-325-302 (942) to finish fourth. No. 12 Missouri Valley won the tournament with a three round total of 906.
Kaleb McClain led the Eagles with a three-round score of 229 (79-78-72) to finish tied for eighth. McClain climbed eight spots with an even par 72 in his final round.
Curren Bounds (79-85-74) and Jack Pierce (81-78-79) followed up tied for 23rd place. Both posted a 238 stroke total across three rounds of play.
Grant Wilson finished tied for 25th with a final score of 239 (77-85-77). Ian Ellison finished up the scoring for WBU with a 246 (80-84-82) for a 42nd place finish.
Elijah Wilkes competed as an individual in the event and carded a three-round total of 252 (86-83-83) to finish tied for 52nd place.
Williams will return to action on March 23-24 for the AMC Preview at Cooper's Hawk Golf Club in Melbourne, Ark.
