Eagles Place Third at MBU Fall Invitational
ALTON, Ill. (10/8/25) – The Williams Baptist University men's golf team finished in third place out of eight teams at the MBU Fall Invitational hosted by Missouri Baptist University in Alton, Ill. this week.
Jack Pierce led the team with a sixth place finish on a two-round score of 151. Grant Wilson and Kaleb McClain each climbed eight places in the standings on day two to finish tied for 15th with a two-round card of 155.
Curren Bounds finished 19th with a total of 156, and Cameron Jackson rounded out the team in 36th place with a score of 168.
Ian Ellison placed 22nd in the event competing as an individual, carding a two-round score of 157.
As a team, WBU finished third out of eight teams in the event with a total score of 617. WBU out-shot the other four American Midwest Conference teams in the event, but fell short against former AMC foes Missouri Baptist and first-place William Woods.
Williams will return to the course to wrap up its fall slate on Oct. 13-14 at the CBC Fall Invitational, hosted by Central Baptist College at Country Club of Arkansas in Maumelle, Ark.
