Eagles, Parr Capture Titles at Battle of Ozarks Tournament
CAMDENTON, Mo. (11/1/23) – The Williams Baptist University men's golf team captured its first team title of the season and Tyler Parr earned medalist honors at the Old Kinderhook's Battle of the Ozarks tournament.
The Eagles turned in a score of 302 (+18) after the first day of competition on Monday and frost conditions on the course canceled the tournament's second round. WBU edged Kirkwood Community College (303) by one stroke, while Texas Wesleyan (304) finished third.
Parr fired an even-par 71 to finish atop the individual standings. This was Parr's second tournament title this season. His total was one shot better than three others who all tied for second with a one-over-par 72.
Quinn Crosskno finished tied for fifth with a 74 (+3), while Thibau De Lange tied for 13th with a 76 (+5). Carrington Reid tied for 37th with an 81 (+10) to round out the scoring for the Eagles.
The Battle of the Ozarks tournament concluded the fall schedule for the WBU golf team. The spring schedule will be announced at a later date.
