Quinton Earns AMC Defensive Player of the Week

WALNUT RIDGE, Ark. (12/22/25) – Williams Baptist University men's basketball senior Rico Quinton was named American Midwest Conference Defensive Player of the Week, the league office announced on Monday.

Quinton led the Eagles to a 2-0 week with wins over Arkansas Baptist and Principia on Monday and Tuesday.

Against Arkansas Baptist, the Dyersburg, Tenn. native brought down 10 rebounds and blocked five shots en rout to a 98-90 victory at home.

On the road against Principia, Quinton recorded a steal and four more rebounds to bring his total on the week to 14.

Quinton and the Eagles will return to the floor on Monday, Dec. 22 for an exhibition matchup against Little Rock.  Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. from the Jack Stephens Center.
