Big Second Half Pushes Eagles Past Hornets

ST. LOUIS, Mo. - Butters' fifth double-double of the season paced Williams Baptist to a comeback victory over the Harris-State, 66-49, on Tuesday night. The Eagles are now 5-5; 3-1 in conference play.

After a slow start in the first half, the Eagles came out of halftime strong. They outscored the Hornets 41-17 in the second half. Williams Baptist took the lead for good with 14:26 left in the game when Jaylen Granger (SO/Chicago, Ill.) scored a jumper to give the Eagles a 38-36 lead. From there, they turned up the tempo and didn't look back.

Butters led the Eagles with 14 points and 18 rebounds. Three other Eagles were also in double figures: Cortez King (SR/Chicago, Ill.) with 12, Brayden Brewer (SR/Piggott, Ark.) with 12, and Nash Davis (JR/Paragould, Ark.) with 10.

The Eagles shot 46.6% from the field, and were 3-4 from the free-throw line.
