Eagles Basketball Falls At Home to Spartans 70-52
WALNUT RIDGE, Ark. - A double-double from the reigning American Midwest Player of the Week Shackeel Butters (SR/Freeport, Bahamas) wasn't enough for the Eagles as they fell to the Missouri Baptist Spartans 70-52 on Tuesday night.
The Eagles had a slow start to the game and only scored 18 points in the first half. They picked it up in the second half, but it wasn't enough to overcome the Spartans.
Butters led the way with his fourth double-double of the season with 16 points and 12 rebounds. Cortez King (SR/Chicago, Ill.) was the only other Eagle in double figures with 15 points.
The Eagles shot 39.6% (21-53) from the field and 56.3% (9-16) from the free throw line.
