Watkins Tabbed Second Team All-AMC

WALNUT RIDGE, Ark. (4/28/25) – Williams Baptist University baseball senior shortstop Jacob Watkins was named to the American Midwest Conference All-Conference Second Team for his performance during the 2025 season, the league announced on Monday night.

Watkins earned the shortstop spot on the All-Conference Second Team after finishing the year with a .345 batting average and a career-high 47 RBI's.  

Williams also placed three on the AMC Gold Glove Team as Gavin Mink (2B), Lawson Aaron (3B), and Cody Jones (CF) all took home hardware at their respective positions. 

To round out the awards, Fowler Maddox was named as WBU's representative on the AMC Champions of Character Team.  The award is designed to honor athletes that best exemplify the NAIA's five core values of respect, responsibility, sportsmanship, integrity, and servant leadership.
