Six WBU Baseball Athletes Named 2023 Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athletes

Williams Baptist University is proud to announce that six exceptional student-athletes from its baseball team have been recognized as 2023 Daktronics NAIA Baseball Scholar-Athletes. This prestigious honor is awarded to individuals who excel in both their athletic and academic pursuits.

The following individuals have been named as 2023 Daktronics NAIA baseball Scholar-Athletes: 

Blaine Wood (Paragould, Ark.); Cash Forrester (Newport, Ark.); Dylan Creech (Bay, Ark.); Jimmy Watson (Nashville, Tenn.); Tate Isaacs (Ash Flat, Ark.); Tyler Jones (Wynne, Ark.)

The 2023 list of Daktronics NAIA baseball Scholar-Athletes includes over 1,100 student-athletes who have achieved a remarkable cumulative grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.5 at their respective institutions. These individuals have not only demonstrated their exceptional skills on the track and field but have also excelled in the classroom.

To be nominated for this prestigious recognition, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, appear on the eligibility certificate for their sport, and have completed at least one full year at their institution. The dedication and commitment shown by these athletes in achieving both academic and athletic excellence is truly commendable.

WBU is a private, Christian university in Walnut Ridge, Ark.
