WALNUT RIDGE, Ark. - The Williams baseball team split their Friday doubleheader with the Evangel Valor, taking game one 1-0 and dropping game two 5-1.
Game One

The Valor had a chance in the top of the sixth inning to open up the scoring wiht a man on third base and two outs, but Chas Bell made a fantastic catch out in right field to end the inning and keep the game scoreless. In the home half of that inning, Nicholas Jones got on base via an error to lead off the inning. Luis Febres singled to center field that allowed Cam McCoy, courtesy running for Jones, to advance to third base, and then Dylan Creech hit a RBI sac fly to center to give the Eagles a 1-0 lead.
Noah Willingham pitched a complete game shut out and struck out three.
Game Two
The Valor came out ready to go in the second game of the day and plated a run in the first inning. They extended their lead with two runs in the fourth and one run in the sixth to make it 4-0. The Eagles were able to get a run back in the home half of the sixth when Jones hit a RBI groundout to the shortstop. The Valor made it a 5-1 game with one more run in the seventh.
