Eagles Drop Series Opener to Mustangs
NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - The Williams baseball team dropped their series opener to the Central Baptist Mustangs by a 11-1 score line in seven innings. The Eagles are now 20-23 on the season and 5-11 in conference play.
The Mustangs plated three runs in the first and second innings to take a 6-0 lead over the Eagles. Williams scored their lone run in the fifth inning when Isaac Williams drew a bases-loaded walk.
Spencer Burnham got the start on the mound and pitched 5.0 innings. He gave up six runs off eight hits, walked two and struck out six. Alex O'Brien pitched 0.1 inning and gave up five runs off one hit and walked two. Blaine Wood pitched 0.2 inning and gave up one hit.
