WALNUT RIDGE, Ark. - The Williams baseball team defeated the Lincoln College Lynx in run-rule fashion on Friday afternoon, 11-0 in seven innings. With the win the Eagles are now 8-6 on the season.
It took a couple of innings for the Eagles to settle in, but they plated four runs in the third, three runs in the fourth, and four runs in the fifth to defeat the Lynx. Sam Philley led the team with 3 RBIs, while Isaac Williams went 3-4 at the plate and Tyler Guffey was 3-3. Williams, Dezmond Cordova, Nicholas Jones, Garrison Keene, and Black Simmons all notched one RBI in the game.
Williams broke the single-game record for stolen bases with six in the contest.
Ray Ochoa pitched all seven innings for the Eagles, only giving up two hits, walked three and struck out 11.

The Eagles are back in action tomorrow in a doubleheader against the Lynx. First pitch is scheduled for 11 a.m. with game two starting about twenty minutes following the conclusion of game one.
