WALNUT RIDGE, Ark. - The Williams baseball team defeated the Baptist Bible College Patriots in a doubleheader on Saturday. The Eagles won game one 12-0 and game two 8-2. With the wins the Eagles are now 4-5 on the season.
Game One
Dezmond Cordova led the team with 3 RBIs, while Isaac Williams, Nick Allred, and Tyler Guffey all had 2. Both Guffey and Wyatt LeDure went 2-2 at the plate.
Ray Ochoa pitched a complete game in seven innings and gave up five hits and struck out five.
Game Two
Blake Simmons led the team with 2 RBIs, while Guffey, Cordova, and Tate Isaacs all had one. Guffey went 2-3 at the plate to lead the team.
Caleb Suiter got the start on the mound and pitched 4.0 innings. He gave up two runs off six hits and struck out three. Parker Jeffries pitched 2.0 innings of relief and gave up three hits and struck out three. Alex O'Brien pitched 1.0 inning of relief.
