Eagles Drop Road Match to Harding

SEARCY, Ark. - The Williams baseball team fell on the road to the Harding Bisons 9-2 on Tuesday afternoon. With the loss, the Eagles are now 0-5 on the season.

The Eagles got the scoring started in the second inning when Wyatt LeDure hit a two-run bomb over the right field wall. Unfortunately for the Eagles, that was all the scoring they would do. 

Williams collected seven hits in the game, and Nicholas Jones went 2-4 at the plate to lead the team. 

Ray Ochoa got the start on the mound and pitched 4.0 innings. He gave up four runs off four hits, walked one and struck out three. Cash Forrester pitched 1.0 inning and gave up one hit and struck out one. Alex O'Brien pitched 0.1 inning and gave up three runs off two hits, while walking one. Parker Jeffries pitched 0.2 inning and struck out one. Spencer Burnham pitched 1.0 inning and gave up two runs off two hits and walked one. Brady Sterns pitched 1.0 inning and gave up one hit, while striking out one. Ochoa was credited with the loss.

The Eagles return home this Friday and Saturday for a four-game series with Baptist Bible College. There will be a doubleheader each day and first pitch is at noon on both days.
