Nationals day one:
We had a Champions of character clinic and it was a super fun way to start off the week. This was a clinic with a local swim club in the area. We got to work with the young swimmers on technique work for starts and turns. We also had a swimmer, Seth Haile, win the award of Champions of character. He got the great opportunity to speak to the young swimmers about sportsmanship. He was one of five athletes to get this chance to share with the young swimmers about this great topic. To see those students’ face as he spoke was a great encouragement. The fact that we as older swimmers could make a difference in their lives was truly a memorable experience. After this amazing opportunity to work with young swimmers we got a feel for the pool and had practice time in order to get our minds ready for the upcoming meet. We are all so excited for the upcoming days and just ready to dive into the meet representing Williams Baptist University.
